Tato bakalařská práce poskytuje přehled některých jazyků a jejich užití rodilými mluvčími, přičemž definuje vliv mateřských jazyků. Práce pojednává také o kultuře a jejich definicích, zatímco popisuje kulturní modely, zejména Lewisův model a Trompenaarsův model. Teorie je následně aplikována na subjekty této práce, a to Anglie a Japonsko.

Policy of Faith: Contribution to the study of the early medieval Welsh ecclesiastical history

Title: Policy of Faith: Contribution to the study of the early medieval Welsh ecclesiastical history Abstract The thesis studies the early christian church on the land of present Wales, specifically from the late antique practically to the beggining of 7th century. Analyzes in detail the whole ecclesiastical organization, its each of pillars and its influence on formation of the early medieval Welsh state units. Because it is a difficult historical period for a reconstruction, the thesis combines several theories, hypothesis and different researching methods. The first part analyzes the christianization of Britain in roman period and follows its eventual continuity in early medieval welsh society. In second part the thesis analyzes 5th century in Britain and follows turning points between the sub- roman administration and origin of the early medieval tribal structure and the insular christian culture. Third part follows the ecclestical structure in "The Age of Saints" (6th century) and so connected origins of some welsh kingdoms. Political activity of Anselm of Canterbury

The thesis aims to describe Anselm's years as prior and abbot and his archiepiscopal career. Analyzing the years spent in the Norman monastery of Bec as a missionary and teacher in its school, the thesis notes the amount of knowledge and experiences which prepared Anselm for his archiepiscopal career. His intellectual qualities and theories are examined as well as some of his highly influential theological texts. Anselm also strove to spread the reforms of his teacher and mentor at Bec and his predecessor at Canterbury, Archbishop Lanfranc. Anselm's following archiepiscopal career spanned the reigns of two kings: William Rufus and Henry I. The study proves that the policies and attitudes of both rulers were quite different. Under the reign of William Rufus, Anselm tried to bring his ideal theoretical state of things into actuality, but the king resisted everything he attempted to do. With his death, Anselm's position changed rapidly and dramatically. Henry, on the other hand, excelled in the ability to work out a compromise. In the end, Anselm's archiepiscopal career concluded with cooperation between king and archbishop.

Attack founding and Attack leading analysis - 2010 FIFA World Cup

Title: Attack Founding and Attack Leading Analysis - 2010 FIFA World Cup Objectives: The primary objective of this thesis is to implement quantitative comparison of effectual attacks which were finished with a shot or a final pass. We are going to compare English and Mexican teams to show the attacks graphically and, consequently, to evaluate the aims in view, which were provided thanks to our detailed study of every single attack. Methods: The work uses the indirect observation method in particular matches which were available due to a vide tape. Successful attacks were noted into a recording form. This analysis is focused on a detailed study of each attack from its foundig to its ending. Results: The results show the types and models realized during the monitored attacks of English and Mexican teams within the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Further, the offensive phase of the game in the modern aspect of football is clarified. Last but not least, we are able to compare the drawn up models one another and apply them to different achievement groups. These themes are primarily explored in Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen and Little Women and Good Wives by Louisa May Alcott. Jewish Fables. Berechiah ben Natronai ha-Nakdan: "Mishle Shu'alim".

This thesis deals with the fable collection called Mishle Shu'alim, written by the Jewish author Berechiah ben Natronai ha-Nakdan who lived in the 12th/13th century either in France or in England. The aim of this thesis is to introduce the work along with the genre of the fable and its examples in Jewish literature of the Antiquity and the Middle Ages (Bible, Talmud, midrashic literature and a few of medieval scripts). The essential part of the thesis contains information about the author and all his works, characterization and analysis of the collection, and the list of the existing manuscripts, all known editions, and all translations of the collection or those of individual fables. Special attention is being paid to the Prague Jesuit edition of 1661. The thesis furthermore contains a commented translation of three selected fables.

The position of England in the context of the regional organization of Great Britain

The diploma thesis "The position of England in the context of the regional organization of Great Britain"deals with the issue of establishing a regional level of governance in the eight regions of England in the period between 1997 and 2004. This policy was promoted by the New Labour government as an answer to demands for democratisation and responsibility of governance in the regions as well as an answer to demands for improvements in economic performance of the regions. The aim of the thesis is to respond to the question of why the public in the regions does not support plans for strengthening of the regional level of governance and for establishing elected regional assemblies in the regions and why this policy was rejected in the referendum held in 2004 in the region North East. The research was carried out using the theory of new regionalism and the concept of construction of regions. Specific criteria are set and are used as a basis for analysis of the situation in the English regions in the selected time period. The first criterion is the territorial framework of the English regions, the second criterion is the institutional framework and the last criterion is the regional identity. The Science in Intended Curriculum and Framework Documents in Selected Countries

The main aim of this study is to enrich the discourse on developing an intended form of the science curriculum in different country contexts. A multi-case study research design uses methods of content and comparative analysis to find answers to the research questions. The empirical part of the thesis consists of single case studies of England, Finland, Scotland and the United States of America containing contexts of the current curriculum development, description and interpretation of analysed structural and content phenomena in the curriculum of primary (ISCED 1) and secondary education (ISCED 2). Based on the single case studies of curricula, a comparative multi-case study is conducted, which focuses on the identification and interpretation of common and different features in the structure and content of the curricula to be compared. The studied documents can be divided into competency- oriented and subject-oriented curricula, nevertheless, each curriculum contains elements of both approaches. The subject content of the contemporary curricula seems to be more elaborated or at least more detailed than in documents of the previous decade. Transmission of cultural and artistic influence in the fourteenth century with an emphasis on cultural relations between Czech lands and England

This work is dedicated to the question of political and cultural relations of Czech lands and England in the second half of the 14th century. Attention is also paid to international relation in western Europe which led to cultural and artistic exchanges. Using historical events as a background, it analyses extant resources and works of art, by which can be the contact proven. Detailed analysis of the preserved works of art with English origin in the second half of the 14th century during the reign of English King Richard II, is followed by comparison with contemporary art production in Czech lands. The goal is to find features these two groups share and to find a way, through which the cultural ideas were transmitted. In that respect it is especially the marriage of the royal daughter Anne of Bohemia to English king Richard II Plantagenet in the year of 1382.
